Fantastic first season, with great performances from Anthony Starr as Homelander and Karl Urban as Billy Butcher. To be fair everyone is great in it. Far better then the adaption of the Preacher which tailed off badly after season 1 for me.

But one thing from season that's always been interesting is Billy wife Becca, as we find out she's had a child with Homelander. People are split down the middle about if she was raped or she was having a fling with Homelander. For me I don't think she was raped.

I would like to see the show shake it up and actually probably showing Becca was unhappy in her marriage or like most married couples she fell for someone else. Instead of Billy thinking she was raped by Homelander that he finds his wife happily slept with him. Also like to see Becca even become a Lady Macbeth type, knowing Billy still loves her that she's like his Achilles Heel. That she's still besotted by Homelander and that she replaces Madelyn in the mother/lover role. For me it be a little more interesting then her been raped or having a fling with Homelander and feel ashamed of what she did.

She doesn't have to LOVE Homelander to have a fling with him

Or she could've developed love for him as the father of her child

On the other hand, it doesn't have to be physical rape to be (effectively) non-consensual; when a superbeing wants you, and you're alone with him, what do you do? We've seen how horrifying Homelander can be one-on-one.

The writers left themselves a lot of credible wiggle room, I'm thinking

Homelander barely remembered Becca so I figure he's had plenty of lady admirers, and he didn't know he had a son until the last episode. That being said, I don't think Becca could have developed love for him. It seemed as if it was a fling to me, or even a deal Becca made with Voigt to get impregnated with Homelander without his knowledge. Maybe She waiting until she was ovulating and went for it?

Also good points ... like I said, the writers left themselves a lot of workable options. Keeps things unpredictable yet satisfying
