Agreed, he was amazing! One of the best villain portrayals of all-time. They were both PERFECT in their respective roles!
shareI'd never heard of or seen Antony Starr before, but yes, he was amazing as Homelander. As much as I disliked that smarmy, phony Supe, I enjoyed every scene he was in. Starr really nailed that role.

Homelander is a sick man, underneath the celebrity/near God like status.The scene on the plane when he threatened to laser the panicked passengers revealed that this "superhero" is a total psychopath. Afterwards he even gives a George W Bush style " I hear you..."speech to the rescuer services near the site where the plane went down. I thought Maeve was going to throw up at the memorial.
shareAgreed--he was real psycho in that scene for a number of reasons. It did make my like Maeve a lot in contrast. It never really mattered what she did or said in the rest of the episodes, I was on her side because she clearly wanted to save those people when Homelander was sociopathically indifferent.
