The drawings in the credits
Look like they could have been the actual storyboards for the film. They depict the biggest scenes in chronological order. Notice at the very end there are more predator ships coming.

The Elder Predator from P2 probably arrives next, starts hunting members of Naru's tribe, maybe even Naru herself, and in doing so, eventually comes to possess the flintlock pistol that he later gifts to Harrigan in 1997. This makes it a very valuable gift indeed, because it might even have been the first trophy the Elder Predator collected when he first came to Earth to hunt as a young hunter. It shows just how much he respected Harrigan for his victory in the duel.
Of course, the fact that the Elder Predator comes to possess the gun in the first place then means that things aren't looking up for Naru, who probably only scored a temporary victory here.
In both Predator 2 and AVP, the gift of a weapon was used as an expression of respect. The predators have only ever collected skulls as trophies so it would be strange to collect the gun for a trophy instead of Naru's skull. I think it's entirely possible that Naru winds up giving the gun to the elder predator.

That'd make an awesome callback, having a sequel end with Naru somehow resigned and hesitant in exactly the same way (maybe the young Elder kills her dog but saves her tribe or some such), before tossing the Elder the flintlock and saying "take it [albeit in Comanche]." share
It's funny, after Harrigan reads the year "1715", when the Elder Predator grunts, I always heard that as him saying "izzz it?"

Well if the drawings are "diagetic," i.e., the actual character drew them in-universe, then Naru's tribe couldn't have been wiped out.
