Everyone should stop getting excited for this film. I got a chance to see it at a test screening a few months ago and it may be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It's a complete mess. Obviously the film hasn't yet been released because nobody has any idea what to do with it. Nothing can save this disaster. You know those movies that have you waiting for the dialogue to be over so it can get to the action? Well, watching Bunraku is a lot like that except you're waiting for the action to be over too. I hated this film and I thought I'd share that with the world of IMDb. That is all. Thank you.

I saw this movie at TIFF, there were 3 sold out screenings. I quite enjoyed it. The movie is so different and unique there are bound to be those that don't understand what's going on,and its human nature to hate what we don't understand.

For me? This is a cool movie....

I don't think anyone has any illusions about Bunraku being anything but an enjoyable action flick, NOT academy award material.

This dimbulb did join IMDB only to slime one film, posted only on this board for a few days, and hasn't posted since then.

If other readers want to base their movie-going decisions on opinions online, at least look for someone who thinks beyond, "Duh, it was bad." People who can string a whole thought together and have actually seen the film are a plus. "I seen it" before it was released...avoid those.

I tend to agree, just from watching the trailer-- which is being posted on the IMDb splash page just now in...August 2011?!?

This approach to film-making just makes me cringe. Bad lighting, shot on a cheap-looking set, with badly composited special effects. I'll pass.

Child fantasy drivel usually isn't rated R, admit it, you just looked at a poster for 2 seconds and wrote that opinion because you were bored or something.

Well I am watching it right now, online, say no more. But only got an hour through so far, but all I can say is so far it is the biggest load of tosh I have seen in a while. Cannot make head nor tales of it. Boring as hell too.
I do not normally slate movies this bad, but that is how bad it is, well that is just my opinion anyway.
