Dominic

Were we supposed to know how he died? Did he kill himself because his crush left the island? Just an accident? Murder?!?!

I think people don't have to make any sense out of this cartoonish BS. The author must be very drunk when he wrote it. Dominic could be his self-projection who is bored to death.

That’s not helpful. Sure, you didn’t like the movie, but everything is obviously there for a reason, it’s not just random. Or maybe you’re right, the guy who wrote it was drunk and then the guy who directed it was drunk and also all the executives were drunk, and all the actors were drunk, and everyone was just drunk.

Do you find this funny?

reply

I enjoy Drunk History, yes. (Although not as much as getting actual answers to questions I post.)

I assumed he killed himself. But I guess it could be an accident of murder (by his father). But the father did look sad when he found out. I think he realized that it was suicide.

reply

Pretty damned obvious he killed himself ‘cause she left the island. His fantasy with her was literally about all he had.

reply

He even said it was his dream.

That boy needed a mother, not a partner. And Sioban didn't want to mother her brother any longer, even though she held out an opportunity for him to follow her. He just couldn't expand his mind beyond the rut he was in.

reply

I think it is a mixture of more. Yes she left the island but also he is left alone with his father. He cant stand Padric anymore - so what is left for him other then suicide...or living forever with his brutal abusive father.

He either killed himself or he slipped and fell(which is what they speculated)Either could be true.He actually almost slippes when he goes to talk to the woman when gets his heart broken.Which was a nice touch from the filmmaker.

There's something creepy about the actor who played Dominic, almost like he's not "all there" or inbred or something, LOL.

He co-starred with Farrell earlier in "Killing Of A Sacred Deer" and he weirded me out there too.

It could have been anything, the point being, Padraic got even more lonesome with loosing all 3 - his sister, Colm and Dominic.
