Two characters absent

I checked 'Dune' cast list on IMDB a few minutes ago, and I noticed that there are no actors chosen to play The Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. and his daughter The Princess Irulan... I wonder why?

No one really knows. They may not appear at all. Gary Oldman would be a great Shaddam IV. As for Princess Irulan: Either Saoirse Ronan, Maisie Williams or Anya Taylor-Joy :D (or even Lily Collins now that I think of it)

PS: Princess Irulan is a hottie.

Feyd Rautha is also missing.

They appear at the end of the novel, which means they would appear in the second movie (if it's done). The current movie only covers the first half of the novel.

The biggest character missing is Piter DeVries. I do want to see what he looks like.

Oh I really hope this movie does well so we get the whole story. I'm sure they'll get someone really good for the Emperor and Feyd.

That's a pretty big omission considering the parts they play in everything happening in the movie. Would be a bit like making a movie about the rise and fall of the Third Reich and then leaving out Hitler.

I was hoping Feyd would be in it. The Baron planned to use his young nephew to "save" Dune from Piter. Previous adaptations did not have the arena combat scene with Feyd and the Atreides slave. Probably not going to appear in this film either.

Perhaps he will appear near the end where he again engages in single combat.
