So just watched the finale...

I have to admit I almost cried during Pete's defining moment memories, but boy oh boy I DID NOT like the kiss between him and Myka; I found it really cringe worthy and this is the first show that made me feel that way about the two leads getting together...

reply

Yeah I totally teared up!

I agree, for a scene that was supposed to be emotional and romantic, I think, fell flat because of each characters bravado and too much joking around. I wish they could have made it more tender, like the scene at the end with Pete's defining moments.

Also loved seeing glimpses of HG! and Lena!!!

But all in all, a great Finale. Loved seeing Claude as the Mrs Frederick with her high slit skirt, and trying her best to be 'mysterious'.

reply

yeh it was way to forcefull to end like that two kissed after 5 season of the show

Then nothing future happen only see claude since she now techically immortal but i wonder what had happen to myka and peter arte and steve???

never showen which was kinda crap

reply

Considering it's several decades later, everyone else is most likely dead.

reply

The dialog of HG's scene was the corniest ever - and I was wincing long before the bit about the sun never setting on the - *gag*. It was worse than the worst comic dialog and I'm including The Thing swapping insults with the Yancy Street Gang in that. (That's the 'Yo momma' kind of thing.)

reply

Yea Claudia looked beyond amazing in that final scene I kind of wish we knew what happen to Pete and Myka .If I had to guess I would say that get married and had a family and enjoyed there rest of there lives together because when they meet they were just two agent and now there a family .

reply

I liked the bravado and joking around! It fit with the characters to do that instead of going instantly mushy and ignoring the last 5 seasons of character development!

I loved every bit of it!

I cried. Seriously not just because the story was so moving but because my favorite show had come to an end...

reply

Such a sad episode. I have so many fond memories and it's sad to see it end. :( Pete's memories almost made me cry and also Claudia at the end, remembering her friends.

But... I agree, the kiss was awkward and lacked chemistry and even felt out of place for me. I guess that's what you get when it's the writers pushing a romance and not the characters. They weren't meant to be a couple, their relationship was awesome the way it was, but oh well, I'll repress that from my memory and remember everything else, haha. :)

It's really sad and I don't think I'm ready to watch the whole series again. I think in about a year or so I will so I can relive all the endless wonder that was this show for me, with its good and not so good episodes.

reply

There was nothing about I did not like the best ending ever on a show they gave the fans the ending that wanted and the kiss was the perfect way to do it .I mean the scene where they get a ping and Pete is near her and Claudia was like oh gross and all the was so funny .I also liked how everybody saw the kiss as well in Pete montage .

I was wondering does anybody know if the music they used for Pete montage is online I love that music it was powerful and emotionally, and sad and made you feel so much heart and care for this fictional character that we all have been on this journey and ride for 5 years.

You could have done this episode in so many different ways but the way they final did it was the BEST CHOICE EVER .This was why I feel in love with this series and these characters .

BEST FINAL SERIES EPISODE EVER

So, you all must have seen S05E05 and S05E06 then as a combined episode?
According to the seasons list, then the final episode named Endless, won't be aired before next week.

reply

The final episode airs on tv next week but episodes 5 and 6 were leaked online; they've been available since Saturday or Sunday.

reply

This was the best series finale I have ever seen. As it ended I was just sitting here with a smile on my face. Well done.

I guess you've never Six Feet Under

reply

I hope Claudia doesn't end up alone. That would be very sad.

reply

Best ending ever - I loved every minute of it.

H. G. Wells - the music - the kiss - I will miss this show very much.

I can't understand why some shows have to leave - usually the ones I love...

reply

Finally watched it myself. It was full of amazing moments. It was brilliant to focus the episode on the characters and their history with the Warehouse as appose to having some final big bad to fight. It was also great to have fan favorite characters, H.G. Wells and Leena, appear, though Leena's scene held far more emotional weight. And yes, I also teared up something fierce during Pete's 'defining moments' flash. It reminded me of everything I love about this show. I am extremely sad to see the show end, but also extremely happy that they gave us a finale that reaffirms to all fans why we love the show as much as we do. And while it may be over, it will surely live on in the hearts of those fans and continue to thrill new fans alike.

Ok, I will give you spoilers... but be warned.

DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!

The entire episode is basically a love letter to the characters. Mrs. Fredrick comes to Warehouse and tells them that Warehouse 13's days are coming to an end, and that whether it is a week or a year down the road, it will move on and Warehouse 14 will rise. She reveals the Round Table (yeah, the one from King Arthur) that the Warehouse uses to store the defining moments and memories of all it agents for future generations. One by one, they touch the table and their defining moment while working for the Warehouse is revealed. Each moment gives the person a realization about themselves (I wouldn't go into detail about each scene, but rather what we learned from them). Claudia's was that she may not want to be a Warehouse caretaker after all, and she still has fears about committing to the job. Artie's defining moment shows us he has a son, and that his son was able to make him a better father for Claudia. Steve's defining moment showed us Steve's want for a sense of peace and purpose, and never realized until that point that the Warehouse had given it to him. Myka's realization was that she was in love with Pete. The most powerful defining moment was Pete's, because as the arguable heart of the Warehouse group, his defining moment was EVERY moment he worked for the Warehouse. Where as all the others got specific moments shown, Pete's was an emotional flashback throughout the series that is sure to draw tears from fans.

There are other memories shown as well. In a touching scene, Mrs. Fredrick shows Steve the first time Leena came to the Warehouse. In a bitter sweet moment, Leena tells Mrs. Fredrick that she knows she will die in the Warehouse. Mrs. Fredrick says she would protect her and never let it happen, but Leena just smiles and says it's ok. H.G. Wells also pops up through different memories throughout the episode.

After they all contribute to the Table, Artie gets a ping and its back to work. We see them bickering and getting ready to finish out there time at the Warehouse. One by one there characters fade from picture until we are left with an empty Warehouse (We are never told how much longer they spend working for the Warehouse before it moves). The story then jumps ahead a "several decades" to Warehouse 14. The agents of Warehouse 14 are fighting when Claudia, having decided to face her fears and take up the roll of Caretaker, appears to give them a slice of wisdom. While watching her group bicker, she comments how the reminder her of (Myka Pete and Artie, though she doesn't say it)... and then disappears Mrs. Fredrick style. We then see her appear at the Round Table, where she begins to pull up memories of her time at Warehouse 13. The end.

Have to contest the last part of that. The hats of the future agents definitely said 13 on them and the drawing back final shot showed the same warehouse.

reply

Ooopppss, you're correct. I just re watched it. Must have missed that with all the tears in my eyes :-P

I am going to miss this show so much...

I just finished E6 and I already miss it. :(

As to Pete & Myka, at first I was sort of bugged by the forced romance between them, but it occurs to me after thinking about it, Myka is VERY repressed, and it's entirely possible she's been forcing herself to not acknowledge her attraction to Pete. On Pete's part, he's always been attracted to Myka, but he's so goofy that he doesn't quite know how to express deeper emotional content, such as romantic love.

In that context, I can accept them finally finding a common ground in their feelings toward each other.

I also admit, I misted up just a tiny little bit at this episode. WH13 shall be surely missed.

Yea I kinda went the same way with my thinking. So in the end I was ok with it, but it definitely got my emotions going when it finally sunk in that it was the final episode.

Spoilers follow

I was so happy and sad at the same time, it was a great finale, one of the best I have seen on any show, and an obvious gift to the fans. I teared up when Pete started his portion. Wasn't that Jack Kenny as one of the future agents in the Decades later scene? Believe it or not, I have actually envisioned this show in my head ending with Claudia as Caretaker remembering her friends. It was great to see Leena and HG again too. Sure, I would have liked to see Pete and Myka married, Artie retired (living with his son??? Talk about a surprise there!)and Steve-who knows? But I guess that they had to decide what to include and what to leave out in 45 minutes and I think that they did a great job. Mondays will be dimmer for me from now on. I think that I will give it a little while and then start binge watching the seasons over. Thanks for all the endless wonder,I will never forget WH13!

reply

Speaking personally, I'd rather they had gone for a more subtle approach to the Pete/Myka relationship. Leave it up to the fans to decide if they finally made a go of it. The whole season 5 (all 6 episodes...) seemed to push the characters to their pairing up. While I agree they've subtly hinted at romantic feelings over the past 4 seasons, I feel it would have been better to keep it as a hint, rather than make it overt.

Overall, I enjoyed the series finale, and am satisfied with it (it was a fitting end to the series), but I wish they hadn't been so forceful about making them a couple.

reply

Am I the only one who got teary when Artie was talking "to" the Warehouse about how he devoted his life to it and now it may be gone?

reply

Goodbye Warehouse 13 and goodbye SyFy channel. The way they jacked this show and Eureka around makes me determined never to watch this channel again.

Hell opened up and put on sale. Gather 'round and haggle.

reply

It was at this moment, where Artie was talking to/yelling at the Warehouse and pretty much revealing his heart and soul, I started blubbering. Damn I'm going to miss Warehouse 13. :(

Good thing though, Warehouse 13 didn't move and the rest could get on with their lives and jobs. Don't know why some people were saying it had? The future Warehouse was still the same (the warehouses seem to change exterior to fit the empire/place they set up in) and in the same location - only years ahead in the future. i.e. Claudia mumbled about 'if I had a nickle for every time the warehouse almost moved...'. Then there is the whole, she became the caretaker - she can't do that for the new one. Plus, the new warehouse agent's caps had the number 13 on them.

reply

Nope. I blubbered like a big damn baby.

Brother, yoµ can believe in stones, as long as yoµ don't throw them at me.

I actually consider the finale to this show as the BEST finale to any television show.

I just hope that the DVD has an alternate ending to the finale that shows Pete and Myka as a married couple with a family. The thing with Claudia in the future was cool and everything but the show has always been about Pete and Myka being at the center of it all...

reply

Finale? Episode 6 is billed to air on 19-May-2014.

What's going on? Some weird time paradox?

reply

the finale is available online and has been for a week or so

Online before it even airs at all on the telly box?

Wow.

Is that an official online release or something other? I thought that even the naughty distributions of these shows were not available until after the initial television airing.

reply

It's because the final season dvd/blu ray release leaked a couple of weeks early, so the episodes are taken from that.

And it was a great example of how to successfully and satisfyingly wrap up a show. Quite touching in parts too.

reply

Just watched finale and I thought it was really a great ending to this show. I
really don't mind the Pete Myka storyline in fact I feel like it made the end a little sweeter. The kiss could have been a little more romantic but I do think people can work together a long time and then suddenly have an epiphany that they have stronger feelings than they realized before, in this case when they thought they might be losing each other. I would rather it play out like it did than to have had a few seasons of them making googoo eyes at each other. Just a wonderful finale.
