what happen to the DCU?

It looks like they are making stand alone movies loosely based on DC charcters.

The DCU doesn’t launch until the new Superman comes out in 2025. The DCEU ended with Aquaman.

This isn't a DCU movie. This is exactly as you've described it; a standalone movie loosely based on a DC character.

This is its own thing not related to the Matt Reeves Batman movie or James Gunn's planned DC reboot.
