A white lead would have brought in more money
Face it Disney, you're blowing your profits by making movies with non white leads. China especially doesn't like non-white characters.

shareHEY....DO ME A FAVOR...IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST DUMBASS THINGS SERIOUSLY...AT LEAST TRY A LITTLE HARDER...DISNEY IS SOME BASIC BITCH TYPE TERRITORY.
shareAll of what you said is correct.
shareWHAT HE SAID WAS BLATANT RACISM.
shareNowadays, one man’s facts are another man’s racism.
shareActually, the movie juat isn't very good. But that's not because of a black lead. I mean Cars 2 was horrible and that's about as white of a cast and one could have (or in your case, hope for). If Cinderella was black, I am pretty sure it would of been just a famous a movie.
shareWaits for the "That's Racist" comments in 3 2 1
shareThe more children are exposed to other races, the more united our world will be when they grow up. That is something that we should all want.
shareI am quite convinced that Ashas skin color the least of the problems in Wish is.
shareOkay, so lets expand this, does this mean you think every movie made in the USA should always have white lead characters?
shareNo, if the non white person has the star power to bring in audiences. Example, Eddie Murphy in his prime.
shareSo it's only acceptable to cast a black actor in a primary role if they have "star power"?
shareOr the story specifically calls for a black person to be cast. Otherwise you will lose money. It's show BUSINESS afterall, and businesses need to make money and as much as they can (profit maximization)
share>Or the story specifically calls for a black person to be cast.
What would be the criterion for it specifically *needing* to be a black person? Why would there need to be a specific justification?
Do you hold the same opinion for asian, hispanic etc leads?
