Kevin Williamson's original idea for Scream 5 was very interesting.

It was similar to some fan fiction that was being written at the time. It would have taken this series to another level without going off the rails. So it was perfect. What a shame.

Can you tell what his original idea was?

Jill gets away with it and goes to college with Kirby. While there, the new killer knows that Jill was behind the previous murders and taunts her. Sidney is a professor.

reply

How is Sidney a professor?? And with Jill studying there? Like Sidney knows she tried to kill her

reply

I thought the idea of Jill getting away with it, Sydney not being able to remember who the killer is and having a new killer who stalks both Jill and Sydney was a pretty neat idea.
Also Sydney would slowly start to remember that Jill was behind the events in Scream 4.
Very original story.
Much better than the crap in this movie.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Scream 4 rocked, and thanks to critics taking a dump on it and audiences staying away we never got the true 5 and 6 made by Craven and Williamson.

reply

nah dude, it sucked hard

reply

Nah, it objectively didn’t.

reply

to real horror fans it gosh darn well did

reply

No, it only sucked to tasteless plebs. Anyone with taste, horror fan or otherwise, liked/loved it.

reply

Scream 4 was significantly better than 5. Hard to argue against that.

reply

Amen.

wrong

reply

How was Cream 4 worse than Scream 5? I bet you can't even explain your thoughts you imbecile

reply

It was considerably better than Scream 3.

As enjoyable as Scream 2 for me, the thing I disliked the most about it was that Red Right Hand wasn't featured.

reply

We never got the true version because of studio interference. Williamson had Jill getting away with it all. The hospital scene was an add on scene.

IDK about Sydney being a professor in part 5. But I would LOVE a scream movie from the killers POV

reply

any idea would've been better than:
"omg the recent stab movie was bad so let's kill"

reply

Did you want another motive attached to Sidney again? Was four movies with similar motives not enough?

reply

i can see from the producer's POV that Sid * needs * to be included
but honestly taking the ghostface murderer and hunting down a new cast is OK with me
