Surprisingly good
After the critical reception I walked into the cinema with low expectations, but this movie is kind of...good? I was entertained all the way through and there were some genuinely heartfelt moments. Would watch again.

shareI enjoyed it. Fun and entertaining, it's an 8/10 from me.
shareJust came back from seeing it a few hours ago, was seriously disappointed by the performances from everyone except for lady Gaga, which was a pleasant surprise because she usually sucks.
The movie was too long and didn’t seem to know what it wanted to be.
But I will admit I was entertained, I expected it much worse from the reviews
It was long, but it would have been a better movie it was longer given the story it was telling or made into a shorter film that focused solely on one era. The way it was done left gaps in the story as to why things happened. Which person turned in the uncle for taxes? It could have been any of the 3 and which one did it would have help more clearly define the characters Was Gaga's dad really connected to the mafia? You get a one line mention of it, but it never gave a concrete answer and if he was it would have given a better reason for why she turns to a hitman. And even more troubling was the change of Maurizzio from weak mouse to Machiavellian villain just happened too sudden, with no explanation of why?
The other truly fucked up part of the movie was the ugly fucking actress they picked for the other woman that breaks up Gucci's marriage... Why the fuck did they get such a fugly actress? In real life the other woman was more attractive than Gucci's wife so you could see why he might go for an upgrade.. but in the movie it's like what the fuck? Gaga isn't beautiful but she was a damn sight better than the fucking woman in the other role her fucking nose was so large and ugly it was hard to take the goddamn movie seriously when she was in a scene.
OMG! I really thought that actress had a fake nose. 🤣 When he encounters her skiing and says to her: Paola?!
I thought she is probably Paolo’s twin sister, that she was also a Gucci.
They have similar eyes. And because Jared Leto was made to look unattractive, I thought it was his big nosed twin sister, also because they are namesakes.
That actress looked familiar but I kept thinking the nose was fake, turned out it is real, and I’ve seen her before in Killing Eve.
Her nose was real? I also thought it was a prosthetic.
shareMaybe Gaga has a clause in her contract that no woman cast would be more beautiful than her or at least not steal the show. Paolo's wife was also depicted ugly. Anna Wintour looked ugly. Even Salma fucking Hayek looked ugly in this movie.
It makes sense because Gaga isn't a real actress (not that she wasn't good in this movie, she's very good) but she's a celebrity and she needs to maintain her brand image / value as THE star.
Possible. I think contract clauses from short leading men has been part of the continual decline in the height of actors over the years.... You would get some short fucker like Tom Cruise that didn't want be in a movie where he wasn't the tallest and it pushed them to get shorter actors, when half the actors in Hollywood started doing that shit it pretty much fucked the chances of any taller actors ever getting a break... If it start happening with ugly women then I guess the world will be filled with movies with ugly Meryl Streep looking bitches.
shareI liked it.
shareI liked it a lot. 160 minutes went by quickly. 8/10
shareThe movie is a blast. I don't get how can someone say it's boring.
I did check the clock when a character leaves Italy and was surprised there was still an hour left.
It's pretty good. Much better than reviews and ratings. Gaga was very good at her role, as was Leto
