They are overextending the show

The show has a lot of good ideas and moments, but they are putting too much fluff making it boring.

I thought there was too much fluff for my taste in s1 e1.

Yup. This is a critical error shows make when they are getting too full of themselves. I know they want this to be GoT (to the point where they use the intro), but it ain’t GoT. This show could be a nice tidy 45m weekly. But it’s becoming a slogfest.

If you hammer nails into your ballbag while watching, it will make it more interesting.

as long as you peeps keep watching watching, they'll keep putting this shit out

reply

I like it. It’s just wayyyy too long per episode.

Would you rather they wrapped it all up in six episodes like GoT Season 8 with people teleporting all over the map? Quality shows tend to filter the cretins out with their pacing. That's why all of the "Soooooo boringggg" topics here say more about the posters than they do about the show.

If it's too tough for you to sit still and pay attention for that length of time, there's always TikTok.

Or we can have the quality of the first five seasons of Game of Thrones.

Is that too much to ask?

Season 5 was where it began to go to shit. Pretty much at the Sansa/Bolton wedding. Some would say even at the end of Season 4 when Tywin died.

Either way, yeah, that is what they should be aiming for. The problem is, when something is good it becomes popular, and when it becomes popular, it attracts the "Watching Season 8 in a bar" fuckwits. Next thing you know we have scant dialogue, plot armour, no-nudity clauses, less episodes per season, the usual signs of downfall.
