orange marmalade?

I guess maybe you have to be a Bear lover to like this little gem.

My college mascot is a Bear. I adopt (collect) bears. I absolutely loved this movie. Paddington does the darndest things. I loved it all, except for orange marmalade. My mother used to buy that when I was a kid - and though I love oranges and fresh squeezed orange juice, I detest orange marmalade. Yuk. It's tooooo sweet. I prefer strawberry preserves. But you can't grow strawberries in a dark forest/jungle(?).

I liked the movie too. And I really don't like marmalade. My dad eats it on toast every morning. Blech. I'm a seedless jam person. I wouldn't think oranges would grow in the jungles of Peru, but who knows.

You're probably eating the wrong type of orange. My Mum makes her own with Seville oranges, which are naturally bitter,

Yup: the peel of the Seville orange is naturally bitter, and it's the classic choice for Marmalade in the UK.

I've had the marmalade a few times, it's OK. I just saw the film and it is cute and entertaining in it's own way.

Just finished watching it, and I LOVED it!

But I don't love marmalade either. My mom also bought it -- both her parents were from England -- so I tried it. Ick. It was the bitterness from the rinds that I couldn't take.

Fun topic related to this charming movie 👍

It makes sense that a bear would have different taste than humans if you think about it. They also like raw fish.

I love orange marmalade! But I rarely have it in the house, too calorific.

Bears look better with extra weight better than humans do, that's a fact.
