I probably shouldn't reply to your obvious troll, but... no, no one would claim cultural appropriation. It's called acting. No one cares about an actor's nationality. All that matters is if they are right for the role. But you already know this.

Merely another move in our secret invasion! Two Brits as Batman, one as Commissioner Gordon, two as Spider-Man, one as Superman, one as Daredevil, one as Reed Richards, one as Professor X, plus an Aussie as Wolverine, an Aussie as Thor, an Aussie as Joker, and an Englishman and an Irishman as Magneto! Resistance is futile (but don't even think about sending over a Yank as James Bond)!

Edit: You've just got an Aussie Supergirl as well!

reply

Because Hollywood hates Americans, now.

reply

its not a secret that americans are some of the most xenophobic people in the world and you just proved it

reply

I'm not American. And why is it not cultural appropriation when Britons play Americans? Why not cast Americans? Don't tell me there are too few Americans who could play Bruce Wayne.

reply

he might as well just be an american because he dosent have an accent. that is all that matters. same with cavil.

reply

If you actually believe that about Americans, it means you've never traveled. America is full of different nationalities, by far more than any other country. We don't think twice about it. Most other countries are far more segregated and like to keep it that way.

There is a cultural phenomenon called "Co-op (Housing cooperative)", I think it exists in other places too, but in US it is very prominent, I noticed that in many American TV shows. From what I understand it is a model where someone wanted to buy and sell, even rent an apartment, it needs to be approved by co-op board.

I always take it as a method of racial (and cultural) segregation, to avoid mainly black people (and people of other cultural and racial backgrounds) buying into their community.

Of course I could be completely off mark, but if you are an American, maybe you could share your insights of this matter.

reply

Even if it were true (it's not), that has nothing to do with xenophobia.

reply

I think racism is a form of xenophobia, probably the worst kind. I mean if you can't even stand your own citizens, just imagine what you would think of foreigners.

I think we all know how Trump was elected, he campaigned on xenophobia.

And other than denial, could you explain why co-op housing is not racial (and cultural) segregation? I suspect you could not.

reply

lol, you are woefully ignorant. I suspected you were trying to steer the discussion away from the correct terminology with your hamfisted effort to create some woke fuckery. You can't just change the meaning of words to suit your narrative to attempt to make something provocative. Take you're race baiting bullshit someplace else, you fucking clown. I don't debate with retards like you. 🤣🤡

reply

Typical ugly American, I see.

You can not argue, so you resort to insult and name calling.

But thank you for demonstrating how ugly and full of themselves average Americans are.
