Which Disney+ Shows have you watched?

In terms of their new live action MCU / Star Wars content, I've watched:-

Wandavision
Loki
Mandalorian
Boba Fett
Obi-Wan Kenobi

For these I've specifically subscribed to Disney+ for a month at a time to watch them. Mandalorian and Wandavision were probably the only ones I found to be really great watches.

But I haven't watched (and don't particularly have much interest in seeing):-

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Hawkeye
Moon Knight
Ms Marvel

I'm not sure why I was more drawn into wanting to watch Wandavision and Loki tbh but I just view these others as a step too far.

I think Andor will be the first Star Wars show I don't bother with either. It's a shame because I loved the guy in Narcos Mexico but again it just seems a step too far into watching just for the sake of watching territory for me.

WandaVision was weird. I didn't care for it.
Loki was strange.
Mandalorian was pretty good.
Boba Fett was good.
Obi was kinda good.
The Falcon and Winter Soldier you should watch. Lots of action.

Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Ms Marvel are shows I started but haven't finished cause I lost interest. Maybe some day.

Yeah, I think I like weird and strange stuff 😂.

But I think that's good for television. I don't think you can't compete against a movie budget for CGI effects and spectacle, so at least if it's truly different it can still stand out.

I think that especially worked well for Wandavision.

How would you rank those?

reply

I would actually rank them in the order that I initially listed them:

1. Wandavision
2. Loki
3. Mandalorian
4. Obi-Wan Kenobi
5. Ms Marvel

I liked them all though.

I started off very enthusiastic about the Disney+ shows but they've lost me now. This is what I've watched in rank order:

1. Hawkeye - I didn't expect to like this, but this turned out to be my favourite series
2. The Mandalorian - A great series
3. WandaVision - Very slow at first, but overall a good series
4. Obi-Wan Kenobi - Entertaining but very flawed
5. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - Some parts were okay but I felt let down by the end
6. Loki - Didn't really like this at all
7. Moon Knight - Very weird and I could have done without watching this
8. Book of Boba Fett - Book of Utter Crap
9. What If...? - What if I didn't watch this? I could have done something better with my time
10. Star Wars Visions - Not my thing, I only watched a few and gave up
11. Ms. Marvel - Awful, I couldn't make it past the second episode

I have no interest in watching She-Hulk or Andor, etc. so I plan to cancel my subscription after this month.

Interesting to see someone else say that about Andor. I wonder - coming after Obi-Wan - whether this will be the first Star Wars live action property which a lot of fans will see as non essential viewing.

If so, I wonder what the repercussions may be in terms of Star Wars returning to the big screen in future.

Wandavision - Liked it, except for the anticlimactic finale.

Loki - Loved it. My favorite Marvel Disney plus series, so far.

Moon Knight - It was fine. Oscar Isaac carried the show on his back.

Hawkeye - It was OK.

What if..? - A few really good episodes. That's it

Falcon & The Winter Soldier - A mixed bag

Book of Boba Fett - Disappointing as hell. So much wasted potential

The Mandalorian - Best thing on Disney plus

I originally subscribed to Disney Plus to watch the outstanding '92 X-Men series and I kept it to watch a few other tv superhero series and classic movies like the Black Hole.

I watched The Mandalorian and thought it was okay. I cancelled Disney Plus after watching that dreadful Wandavision. I grew up watching the sitcoms that were parodied on Wandavision so I don't need to see any more bad TV. I had to watch bad TV in the 20th century since I only had ten channels and no streaming. Ugh!

Disney shifted to comedy after the success of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Most women like comedies so I see the emphasis on comedy as an attempt by Disney to get women to watch more superhero shows. I couldn't stand the Batman show of the sixties since it was a big joke. Marvel now seems to be a big joke and the Disney inclusion standards linked below will force the showrunners to make drastic changes to the original stories and characters.
