Before the reviews dropped in, were y'all expecting some kind of masterpiece that lived up to the original Matrix?

I think what surprised me most was how jarring I found the score. The original Matrix had a fantastic soundtrack with great songs like Rob D - Clubbed To Death, Lunatic Calm - Leave You Far Behind and Propellerheads - Spybreak, as well "industrial" sounds in the score which were continued and expanded on in the sequels, except for Resurrections.

I was expecting the same level of slick good looking action scenes. I knew the movie itself would be dumb. But I was expecting kick ass action.
