How did they film with empty streets?


That multi-crosswalk is one of the busiest places on Earth.
How did they manage to get it empty for filming?

In “I am Legend,” they created an empty NYC. What they did was:

1). Have hundreds of workers shoo people off the camera shot. They also had help from the local government and police

2). Use CGI to make the area more run down; to film the broken bridges and windows etc; and to remove any people who still ended up in the shot

The above actions ate nearly half of the film’s budget

I imagine this show probably did the same to create an empty Tokyo

It was actually filmed in the borderland.

Maybe they filmed it during the COVID lockdown :)

they filmed those scenes at the ashikaga scramble city studio which is huge replica of the shibuya crossing in tokyo
