I've watched it a few times, and I think it's just got a good structure to the film, the tone of the film sort of goes like a sine wave. action/pauses/filler scenes/changes in environment and scenery. when they're inspecting his computer the tone of the film sort of changes, you get the sense that "this is the divider before the second half of the film"
