Is There REALLY Interest In This Project??

I didn't realize the fans have been clamoring for a Fantastic Four movie, like, at all?? Now after The MARVELS Bombed spectacularly, Disney must not care and have 0 intention of giving superhero movies a much needed break

reply

They’re the first Marvel family, and major players in the lore. Perhaps more importantly, their arch nemesis is Doctor Doom who is arguably the most popular antagonist in Marvel. So yeah, people want this, and we want it done right.

reply

Indeed. At the least, Doom needs to be redeemed.

reply

Fans have wanted this big time but wanted it done right.

Sadly, MCU is proving it won’t be doing that.

So now I want nothing to do with it.

reply

Is Disney making this Woke or what that you're turned off by this??

reply

Yes and yes.

They’ve cast Pedro Pascal as Reed, also, reportedly Sue Storm will be the main character (but at least they got her casting right) and they’re using a female Silver Surfer.

I fully expect they’ll cast a black Human Torch (again) and trans Ben Grimm too,

reply

A Female Silver Surfer?? What?? What is this?? And how exactly are they going to improve on this anymore than the Sequel "Rise of the Silver Surfer" which looked about as good as something like this is going to look folks?? Jesus Disney

reply

I have no interest in it. Just like i had no interest in the Marvels. I think people are getting sick of Superhero movies. It was cool for a decade or two. But now its like who gives a shit. Its why all these movies are bombing. I don't Marvel will do any better than Tim Story did back in 00's. MCU hasn't cared about the source material in a pretty long time. Look at Namor in Black Panther 2.

reply

Was anyone clamoring for an Iron Man movie in 2005? The average man in the street had never heard of Iron Man, Thor, or Captain America, much less Hawkeye, Black Widow, or pretty much an Marvel hero other than Spider-Man and the Hulk. Who was clamoring for Star Wars in 1976, or a film about the Titanic 20 years later?

Movies are seldom successful because of audience demand before the film is made. They succeed when studios produce a good film, and/or when a combination of marketing or shifts in the zeitgeist generate interest. If Marvel makes a good movie, people will see it.

There wasn't superhero fatigue in 2005. The world has become oversaturated with Marvel crap.

reply

I like to think there is still a definitive version of this to be made.

I used to love the comics, and I would love to see it done justice.

reply

Yeah but is current MCU really the ones to make a definitive version of the Fantastic Four. They stop caring about the source material a long time ago. Hell they made Namor into a Mexican.

reply

There is no such thing as superhero fatigue, only bad movie fatigue. Nobody gets fatigued by GOOD superhero movies.
