Emma Stone turned down the Sue Storm role.

According to a recent report, actor Emma Stone was in talks to play Sue Storm in Marvel Studios' upcoming Fantastic Four film, but turned it down.

reply

Emma Stone would have been a great fit, but I wonder what names the studio has on their list; granted, I'm prolly not going to watch the film anyways.

reply

Great in Spiderman, although all you thought about was sex when seeing her in it.

reply

Admittedly so, to an extent.

reply

EMMA WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD...BUT SHE IS ALSO KIND OF A BORING CHOICE...I GAVE THIS THREE WHOLE MINUTES OF THOUGHT...HERE IS MY SHORT LIST.

ILANA GLAZER.
ANNA KENDRICK.
ZAZIE BEETZ.
AUBREY PLAZA.
ZOE DEUTCH.

reply

They probably wanted Lizzo for the role anyway. Being an overweight lard ass is irrelevant while invisible, except in tight spaces.

THESE KIND OF COMMENTS DO NOT ADD ANYTHING TO A CONVERSAION BUT DISSENSION...KNOCK IT OFF.πŸ™‚

reply

NYET COMRADE.

That is an excellent point, I never thought of it that way. Being that fat and disgusting would severely limit the amount of crime fighting she could do and if she passed out from over exertion "almost anything besides sitting down" she might fall ontop of someone and no one would know what happened because she's invisible.

reply

Lizzo, starring as "The Invisible Inadvertent Obstacle"

reply

Haley Bennett would be great.

She (or her team) probably can sense the MCU is slowing abit after a string of underwhelming/underperforming movies (Black Widow, Eternals, Thor4, AntMan3), and the only really anticipated MCU on the horizon is the next Avengers films (one of which will probably feature OG Sue Storm Jessica Alba), and another version of Fan 4 might even bomb (again), the director is just a TV director so no real appeal there either, so although being the MCU Sue Storm might seem tempting at first, scratch beneath the surface and maybe it isn't

reply

Maybe she didn't want the pressure of what could potentially become a franchise on her shoulders, since that would mean multiple films if it was successful or a huge hit to her career if it wasn't, since the MCU is such a big thing now. And I like her, but I can't see her in the role. I've always liked Emily Blunt for Sue Storm, although I do think Amanda Seyfried could go a great job.

reply

It will likely get another movie afterward. Emma and Emilly aren't likely wanting any more of that. Emily has Quiet Place and likely another Jungle Cruise to do.

reply

I feel like she already played a very similar character with Gwen Stacy in the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man films.

reply

Probably a smart move.

Up until now, all the F4 movies have been made because a studio had to return the rights to Marvel if they didn't make a movie within a certain time period, so all the movies have been crap, and this is probably more of the same.
