Is it appropriate to air this show during a PANDEMIC?

People are still dropping dead from covid and this show is about the decimation of the population by a pandemic. Is it in poor taste or tone deaf to air this during a pandemic? A lot of people are trying to recover from the deaths of loved ones and this show would just trigger a lot of sad/painful memories in viewers.

I'm curious ... do you know what decimation is, or where it came from?
Covid-19 is hardly decimating the population, but maybe the next pandemic could be worse. I don't see any problem with this series at all. It is not pretending to relate to C-19, any more than Walking Dead. If YOU think it is in poor taste, did you get to that conclusion by watching it?

News Flash! The covid-19 epidemic is NOT OVER! How do you know there won't be another variant that comes along and kills more people? I don't even think we know the real mortality numbers. I don't plan on watching the show since I think it's in poor taste and offensive.

I think its a timely reminder to be careful with the current pandemic that Should definataley be shown.
(even though ,yes, covid doesent seem to have the kill rate to collpase society )

No one is forcing anyone to watch. I watched half of it so far and I it actually gave me relief that the flu on the show was so much worse than what we went through with Covid. People should be grateful that we haven't gone through a flu that has wiped out most of the human race, but instead, people cry about restrictions, masks and programs that make us uncomfortable. Kind of wimpy. These kind of people never would have survived Hitler, WWII and the Great Depression.

Cancel all medical dramas and medical procedural shows while we're at it.

"People are still dropping dead from car accidents and heart attacks and this show is about the decimation of the population by car accidents and heart attacks. Is it in poor taste or tone deaf to air this during a time when heart failure is the leading cause of death? A lot of people are trying to recover from the deaths of loved ones and this show would just trigger a lot of sad/painful memories in viewers."

You see how dumb that sounds?
