28 Years Later, a trilogy of sequel films with the 2nd installment to be directed by Nia DaCosta

It’s being shot back to back with Danny’s film, according to the Critical Drinker.

From Wiki, “…. was announced that a third film titled 28 Years Later, was officially in development; with plans for the project to be the first of a new trilogy of sequels.”

DaCosta’s confirmation of the 2nd installment:

So it's a trilogy within a trilogy?

reply

That’s what it’s looking like, maybe stand alone films with overarching themes and possibly characters and interwoven storylines.

Interesting. Has that ever happened before? Can't think of a time.

I’m sure it has, in some form, most likely in novels for the most part though.

Steven King for example ties his novels together even though most are completely independent of eachother, and Quentin Tarantino too, with most if not all of his films, Vic Vega, Vincent Vega….

I know this isn’t an example of a trilogy within a trilogy though, lol.

Thad be amazing!

I’m feeling pretty good about both of them.
