Very intense

It took me 5 sittings over 2 days to finish this movie. It kept making me so unneasy I had to turn it off. I don't normally have any issues with anxiety, but some thrillers can really put me on edge, this one definitely did that in spades.

I watched this movie earlier today and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's a very well made thriller and it definitely caused some anxiety but in a good way. I'm going to watch it again tomorrow.

I agree, I never get involved enough to yell at the screen, but I actually caught myself doing that toward the end.

Most certainly. And truthfully, that is exactly the kind of praise Leigh Whannell, or any thriller and horror director for that matter, would love to hear (and this film certainly deserves the high praise it’s gotten). The Invisible Man is such an effectively-made and tension-filled ride, an overall excellent film.

This film made me exceedingly physically uncomfortable in my body, and I give props to any film that can do that. The sound had a lot to do w it including the deafening sound effect whenever (or often) there was a bodily impact, it really just made it seem shockingly violent.

The director did an excellent job of conveying the intensity. The camera could just look into the corner of a room and I could feel the anxiety of wondering of dude was there or not. Great job.

reply

I agree that the movie was intense but jesus man if you have to quit 4 times maybe the movie isnt for you.

reply

Haha no doubt. Glad I finished it, though.

In my case I had to watch it due to peer pressure but i hated how well-made it was....thrillers are not for me at all. Such a nasty movie.

reply

Yeah they really captured the creepiness well, huh? I didn't expect to be that uneasy myself, watching it...but everything was so well done...the music, the camera work. The way the camera would linger on...nothing...and you're not sure if there's something there or not...putting you in the same situation as the protagonist, it worked really well...too well almost lol

it's really creepy at times.
