LaVera fine with horrific violence but nudity upsets her?

Lauren LaVera got upset on Twitter awhile back and bitched at someone who said this movie didn’t have enough nudity.

It’s a legitimate complaint about horror films but she decided to whine about it and act insulted.

So I guess she’s fine with showing graphic depictions of horrific brutality and sadism against women, but exposing bare breasts really upsets her?

reply

I wouldn't mind seeing her in the buff but honestly she's probably happy she got a lead role in a movie... only to go online and see everyone complaining that they didn't get to see her boobs. Naturally she'd be annoyed.

Don't look into it too much kid.

reply

It’s no different than starring in a superhero film and someone says there wasn’t enough action.

It’s part of the genre.

She even filmed a shower scene but refused to face the camera.

'She even filmed a shower scene but refused to face the camera.'

It may only have been a rear view but it was still very welcome!

reply

They didn’t show her butt either.

Camera showed from her waist up.

At that point, why have a shower scene?

Just show her coming out with a robe on and wet hair.

Don’t waste out time.

It’s like PG-13 horror films where the camera crops out the gore.

Whining on twitter will only hurt in the long run.

Especially if the winds change and someone dredges up your out-of-fashion post from ten years ago.

Celebs need to learn to shut up about basically anything and everything, and especially politics, and just stick to acting and spending all their money and stop concerning themselves with the world outside the happy little bubble they live in.

I remember a few years ago Kristen Stewart was upset that she had to wear heels on the red carpet in Cannes because those are the rules for women at that particular event, and meanwhile somewhere else in the world someone can't find clean drinking water.

Fuck off, celebs.

And getting naked. The women anyway.

Perfectly put.

the violence is fake

the nudity is real

reply

More reason to see the nudity.

reply

smart!

reply

Violence has negative associations and is meant to be repulsive, whereas nudity often doesn't and is meant to be enticing, especially when the subject is an attractive woman. Violence is not the same as nudity, at least not in horror films.

Violence is abhorrent, the sight of a beautiful naked woman isn't, or at least shouldn't be. When one considers nudity to be as equally off-putting as violence, it's a problem.

reply

Go down the street and ask someone if they'd rather have their head blown off in a movie or appear naked on camera, I guarantee you at least 95% of the people will chose having their head blown off.

reply

Now ask them which they’d prefer in real life.

They’ll chose naked every time.

Movies should reflect reality.

reply

Gore is fake. Nudity is real.

"this movie didn’t have enough nudity...It’s a legitimate complaint about horror films"

HAHAHAHA jesus, what are you, some horny old man who only watches movies because of titties? You think the missing element of horror films aren't the story, characters, a great screenplay, etc, but no bitches? You really think some movies would automatically become better if you saw the lead actresses rack? There's a great website you'd enjoy called PornHub, has everything you want and more!

reply

Nope. I never said any of that.

Also, it’s a hetero thing. You wouldn’t understand.

reply

Movies not having enough nudity is not a legitimate complaint about cinema, it's a shallow one. If a gay man complained that there aren't enough penises in movies and called it a "legitimate complaint", that would be equally as shallow. You're complaining because you see movies for the wrong reasons. Once again, I recommend this website called Pornhub, where actresses get as nude as you'd like!

reply

Not enough penises isn’t a legitimate complaint because there hasn’t been a long history of penises in horror or other mainstream films.

But there has been a long history of naked women in horror films.
