Not the Best Spokesperson for the Cause
The branding of this film around Greta is an own goal. I doubt she and the film’s producers and financial backers will get their message across to many who aren’t already predisposed to agree with them. For good but, I suspect mostly ill, she is a polarizing figure and a scold, not a person of authority, expertise or someone who can draw upon a reserve of public goodwill.
It could be a good film that makes a case that is well argued but it has been packaged and marketed poorly. Greta and the film’s backers seem to have forgotten that their most important task is to get people to give their case a sympathetic hearing or at least approach it with an open mind.
