Why always a dog?? why not a cat???

I know th hachiko's story was real, but...

I mean c'mon all the times the cats are the bad guys, and the dog its a heroe

the cat's are noble and friendly too!!!

I want to see a film with cats!!!!

Anyway, i like that movie, what do you think?

reply

It's based on a true story.
Why to put a cat. They are no such noble and trustworthy.

There's no reason why there can't be great films about loyal cats. To be honest, it would be far more interesting. Dogs are pack animals and it's normal for them to be "loyal"- it is their nature. It would be far more remarkable to have a film about a loyal cat, since they are natural loners. My own first cat Pippa was fantastic and loyal. My current one Rosie does have a tendency to visit a lady down the road though!

However, I really enjoyed this film and was practically in tears from the moment Hachi sat forlornly waiting for his master that first day he didn't return.

Garfield is a caricature- over exaggerated version of a cat. If they weren't loyal and loving, millions of us wouldn't share our homes with them.

BTW, as an obsessive cat person who works in a library, I'm REALLY looking forward to Dewey!

Because Dog`s are actually pets who are always loyal to you(assuming you train them properly)while cats are just scavengers who go missing for days and only come back for food and will go to a new owner without looking back..jesus a hamster makes for a better pet at least it will stay put.

My point is cats suck dik

The dog want and needs a master to feel good. It's the leader of the pack that makes everything else make sense.

A cat thinks you are living in his house.

That's the basic differece I think...

I can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet, so here goes:

There was a movie with a cat hero in it that came out just last year. It was called "Coraline."

Agree with the comment about The Three Lives of Thomasina (1964). There are others, but that's the one that best matches the emotional and spiritual impact of Hachi. Great movie, great cast (Patrick McGoohan, Susan Hampshire, Laurence Naismith).

Because cats can't act that well.

many cats can worry about themsefs, also... may cats don't wait for owners at a train staion or get treats. many people perfer dogs more. i doubt cat story will sell even remotley close to a dog story.

I know, they always do play the bad guy. My 14 year old cat is always at the door waiting for me. If I am going out of town he always sits on my suitcase. There are loyal cats out there.

Because cats just suck.

I love both cats and dogs. cats can be pretty loyal too. You'll only know truly the cats after you had one. Treat him with love and companionship and you'll see. I'm very proud to say that most of my best friends were cats and dogs. I just hope, when I die, I'll get to be together with them again :)
