She kept making it seemed like they could have something more especially when she invited him to that party while engaged? Reminds me of this woman who I knew.When I was into her she of course pulled away but when I had a girlfriend then she wanted to flirt and show interest.

She just wanted something casual with Tom and Tom probably isn't the right type of guy to do casual with, he is head first into relationships basically "Let's get serious now". I don't think she went out of her way to hurt him and she probably never really had a issue like this before until Tom. I think if she knew he was this serious about her, she probably wouldn't have given him the time of day.
