How about a U.S. version?

I saw this movie a good while ago, and aside from the annoying British accent, I enjoyed the movie. If they would just remake this for the U.S., then even the dialogue could be enjoyable. I couldn't always understand what the bad guys were saying. And it's a shame this film doesn't have a happy ending either. Does anyone else think this should be made in America?

If they tried an American remake, it would probably be another Hills Have Eyes or Wrong Turn.

Wrong Turn was awesome, don't get it confused with it's crappy sequels.

There is American version, it's called Preservation. I preferred this one.

Spoilers:
In the US version a couple goes hunting with the guy's brother who was discharged from the military and is obsessed with hunting/survivalism/whatever. But then they wake up, all of their things are gone, and they have an X on their forehead. The couple goes one way and the military brother stays to look for his dog. His brother suspects him for all of this. The military guy gets killed by some masked shooter, his dog is dead too, and eventually the guy from the couple gets killed as well. Then we realize these masked killers on bikes are kids. The girl turns survivalist and kills them all and then rides into the city. The end.

Duznt sound similar.

Give me a break. This has the vibe of a joke post, someone trying to parody an American attitude. Happy ending? Why is that needed?

Yes, the kids were difficult to understand, but your DVD player has a handy thing called subtitles, which I used to understand Brett mainly.

The last thing needed in movies is more remakes.

When did America become this second rate mimic factory? I'm 100% American and I'm 100% against needless remakes. Get an original idea or wait 20-30 before even thinking remake.

I understand not wanting to read subtitles, but damn they fkn speak english in this movie, no wonder the world thinks we're a country of twats.

Haven't seen this film (it sounds good enough to check out, though) and there's also been a Bollywood remake of it,called N.H. 10.

kim bassinger was in a film like this a few years back called "while she was out" not exactly the same, but similar

Yes, then we can have annoying American accents.

Wouldn't be much of a movie, however, when the cast guns each other down in the first few minutes due to America's gun law.

You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink!

Nuh keep da limey version.

No. And yes, I'm an American. This movie is fine just the way it is. It'd be *beep* ing tragic if some fart-sniffer like Michael Bay got his Platinum Dunes production co to remake another horror classic.
