I have a question for black people

From my limited experience and interaction with African americans, I have come to realize that most black people;
1. Don't like white people
2. Don't like the us government
3. Think the american system is unfair to them

My question is , if you don't like The USA so much why don't you leave? I am not American, I am just curious.

reply

Since you say you are not American, I'm going to try to give an honest answer to each, then move on because often these discussions go absolutely south.

1. Don't like white people

Disagree. The US is about 13-14% African-American, which means that we are surrounded by white people every day. At work, at school, my neighbors, at college, in stores, at the hospital, even sitting in the movie Selma. So unless someone lives in an extremely racially segregated area of the U.S., we all have to learn to get along. As they saying goes in reverse, "some of my best friends are white."

2. Don't like the us government

Many politicians including the President is black so I don't see that as an issue. What many blacks don't agree with is your #3 bullet.

3. Think the american system is unfair to them

Ok. Here is where many will notice the system is biased, but its often not just by race, but by class. If you are poor, in underserved areas, the system can work against you. Let's take for example public schools. Public schools are funded by taxes of the surrounding area. So, if you live in an area that is poor, that means the amount of funding for the local school is poor. The results are lower than the public school in a middle class area, and much less than an affluent district. So, when all of these kids across the nation take a standardized test, its fundamentally unfair because they all are not starting with the same quality of education. There are ways around it, charter schools, private school, parents teaching their own children, etc... this is a very complicated topic but the system is not equal.

My question is , if you don't like The USA so much why don't you leave?

First, I like the US. There are plenty of advantages and if you can get past #3, then there are lots of opportunities. I was born here, my mother was born here, my great grand mother, etc... i.e. as far back as I can trace, I am an American citizen. My children are Americans, so while there are problems, why should I leave my home because some redneck doesn't like black people? They can build a bridge and get over it. Everyone here is an immigrant, and ~37% is a minority, so I would ask in reverse, if a white person isn't willing to accept minorities, why don't they move to some all white nirvana? I say that "tongue in cheek" since we are more global now than ever. Just look at how quickly a disease can spread from one country to the next. So in reality, it would be tough to find a place that someone can hide from other races. The only answer is to work together.

Their ancestors were brought to America by force and this country was built on their backs so the country is also theirs. Asking them to leave a place they helped found because they don't like being persecuted is the dumbest and/or the most racist BS I've ever heard. This better be a joke.

reply

Assuming that you're not a troll;

1. How did you come to this erroneous conclusion?
2. In your country, if the majority of the population don't like how the system operates, do they just pack up and leave?

reply

American blacks are not the majority, American whites make the rules, African Americans have very little influence or power. If i were black I think i would be happier in Africa, the climate is nice, the wildlife is nice. I think African Americans should realize that racism in America is heavily institutionalized and everything they do don't really change anything.

Excuse me? Did you even watch SELMA? The civil rights movements changed this country for the better. Now you really sound ignorant. That's why I said, you should have read an American history book because you really know or understand nothing about our country. Instead, you just sound like a very uninformed and stupid idiot spouting off nonsense based on virtually no damn facts.

First of all, we don't have to leave because America is OUR country,too. Get that straight. We get enough of that "America--love it or leave it" bull**** from our fellow white Americans. We invested damn near 400 years of blood,sweat and tears in it, even more so than others, because we were forced to come here and do white folks' work for them. Also, you should ask black people more questions about why we feel the way we do, instead of just ASSUMING things. That's the problem---limited interactions is not going to tell you the whole story about us at all, and it wouldn't for anybody else,either.

Where are you from?

reply

I spent some time in America as a child, I have a rudimentary understanding of American society if you will. Even though I was partly raised in America, I drew a conclusion many years ago that the system is built on a lie.

He is only half black actually.

reply

But he is! Isn't he? Whites in America are so phobic to black that some day they will cut down their pubic hair. What's wrong in America? Why do blacks and whites hate each other? I see no other country so obsessed with this phobic behaviour. SA have cut down to a very large extent and we see minimum cases in UK too but what the f33k is wrong in America? How many years it has been? 300-400 years? They ended slavery of blacks but they couldn't end the hatred! 400 f33king years and there is still civil war going on! Indeed,God help America or it will surely burn in hell if it goes on like this. No country in the world likes this and they are not only hating US but also mocking at 400 years of uncultured and uncivilized people. Not only whites but blacks are equally responsible

Exactly how is 10% of the population responsible for the pathology of the other 90%, for 400 years and counting.

No man lies so boldly as the man who is indignant.
