I have always thought KW was "everything and a bag of chips", i.e., extraordinarily attractive.
So how's she holding up these days? I'm an older guy and I don't comb the internet for celeb photos. Some people age better than others. Helen Mirren I guess is the Gold Standard for Old Broads, so how's Kate doing?
She was made up to look like shit, and I’m sure it took a fair amount of cosmetics technique to get her to look that way. Plus the hair, the dumpy clothes, etc.
Washed clean and looking normal she’d still be pretty and probably a lot more attractive than most 46 year olds with 3 kids from 3 different marriages.
The other thing to remember is that she’s never been a stick figure actress. She’s got broad hips and thicker thighs, which adds a ton to her dumpy look in Mare. Even in 1999 in “Holy Smoke” when she was 24 and did a full frontal scene this was obvious. In other words, a very normal body.
Honestly she's been pretty far off my radar for years. The last film I remember seeing her in that had a big impact on me was Quills in 2000.
I have seen her since then but not really intentionally. Like in Revolutionary Road or The Dressmaker. I was just watching a movie and she happened to be in it. I didn't go out of my way to watch a "Kate Winslet movie."
But this is HER show, very much so. And I think she does well in it and it seems like it's a hit. Makes me wonder what she'll do next.
Yes. She was very fetching in Titanic many years ago and seems to have embraced her role as an Artist so she can comfortably inhabit different traits as an Actor.
Just hard not to want to hug 'n' kiss her like us old guys want to. She would probably be repulsed but then again, she might see the charm in it.
Kate's been around long enough where I'm starting to view her more as a peer and less as a young starlet. Plus I like her persona and her choice of projects. She's about 15 years my junior. But I don't go out of my way to access all these buzz-worthy shows on Netflix or HBO Max and all these subscription services, so I just went by the picture featured here for this particular show, and was whimsically wondering how she was holding up. I'm sure she is lovely in every way that is meaningful.
