Episode 2

So Frank (Mare's former husband) is the father of the dead girl, and he also has custody of the grandson named DREW (which is also why he received papers saying that the mother who's in rehab wants custody of him)???

And now the father of the dead girl's son may also be dead (because her father shot him a couple of times and may have also killed him)???

And the father of his girlfriend is also stalking MARE and throws the milk through her window and may try to kill MARE???

Anyone else have any other thoughts that they'd care to share about what happens in Ep. 2 ???

reply

No Frank is the father of the dead girls baby! Well that’s what the dead girls best friend thinks , but she said the dead girl wouldn’t tell her who the real father is she only told her that the teenager is not the baby’s father.

reply

Yes I'm thinking Frank is a false lead (he also seemed sincere in the preview clip for next week), and that the friend just assumes he's the Dad from seeing Erin talking to her teacher or something.

The PRIEST as the BABY DADDY is also a BRILLIANT idea !!! Plus he's also MARE's cousin. So imagine her getting a DNA test done on the baby only to discover that neither her former hubby Frank nor Dylan is the genetic father.

And I also agree about how MARE's daughter is hiding something from her. Because she also AVOIDS the last question and only answers one part of it.

And I'm also thinking that Erin may have had an affair with Siobhan (who's also gay). Then the lover who rejects her (when we saw them in bed together the night of the murder) may also have had a fight with Erin because she was jealous of her.

I'm also thinking that head wound may also have been caused by a fall down into that rocky area where they find her body. So it may also have been an accident and not an intentional homicide like Mare thinks is the case. Plus she's also still wearing reddish colored underpants which also doesn't seem to indicate that she was raped. And if the lover caught Erin being intimate with her girlfriend, then maybe she got angry and shoved her or something which caused her to fall???

That still doesn't explain the bike missing though, unless maybe someone moves it elsewhere as a way to try and blame the death on someone else???

Hey bexly, I thought I was watching a flashback when I saw the scenes with that kid (dead girls best friend). No one here is mentioning it but does anyone else think that girl is a dead ringer for Mare? Like you’re seeing a teenage version of her? That’s why I thought the scenes with her were a flashback but I’m shocked to learn that they’re not.

reply

I agree how the best friend of Erin (the dead girl) looks like Mare.

In fact I thought she was suppose to be her daughter, and then was surprised to learn the other girl (who asked Erin if she was alright after she's beaten up) is suppose to be Mare's daughter.

They introduced so many characters in Ep. 1 that it's easy to get them confused,

I have a suspicion the priest may be the baby's father.

Also, the milk was just meant to intimidate, not to kill. The man is just as stupid as his bitch daughter.

Siobhan is looking long shot suspicious at this point. She was not completely forthcoming in her starement to the detective. Also she is close with her Dad too and might be protective of him. Her overall vibe is cagey.

Not to me.

Not really since it still seems so derivative, with even more stock Red Herring characters.

But I found the tonal shift to be weird. Maybe the other poster -- who brought up Fargo and the Cohen bros -- was on to something after all.

reply

Who brought up Fargo? What did they say about it in regards to this show?

And what exactly do you mean by saying there's been a weird tonal shift???

How so? Which characters are involved?

What's also weird is how Mare discussed "Pervasive Development Disorder" with Drew's doctor and said that her son Kevin had it:

Pervasive Developmental Disorders Information Page ...

https://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/all-disorders/...

Mar 27, 2019 · Definition The diagnostic category of pervasive developmental disorders (PDD) refers to a group of disorders characterized by delays in the development of socialization and communication skills. Parents may note symptoms as early as infancy

Which is another way of saying her son KEVIN was AUTISTIC.

But the mother of Drew doesn't seem to be abnormal (developmentally). So why would she have had a relationship with someone who was Autistic ???

Wonder if the cute girl with DOWNS SYNDROME will also date someone who's normal instead of another boy that also has DOWN'S SYNDROME???

Or maybe that's what she discussed with her mother was wanting to date a normal boy instead of one that's like her???

She also sounds very normal when she talks as well. Or like a typical kid her age by saying "WHATEVER" back to her mother again (after she told her that it was too late to change her mind and go out with the other boy instead).

Thanks for the reminder Marty. Apparently the person who originally posted that message has deleted it.

So what exactly do you mean by saying there's been "a weird tonal shift???"

How so? Where does that happen? Which characters are involved?

It would also help if you could further explain where this happens so that one can better comprehend what it is that you mean.
