Why is it socially unexceptable to dislike gays?

I feel like over night its become cool to be gay. Anyone who has a problem gays is ignorant or evil. I'm just not into guys on guys, I think it's disturbing. (I'm not religious btw)

Because common sense and decency tell us that we should not encourage prejudiced behavior towards other members of our shared society, of which we all belong.

Because it's wrong to dislike someone for something they can't control. It's the same as disliking someone because they are black.
