Woke DEI slop flop
$26.5m budget and only $12m opening from 3,161 theaters. Failed woke flop of a movie. You would think Conservatives would flock to support this Mel Gibson movie but nope. Go woke, go broke.

shareShut the fuck up
shareLeft.. Right.. Lunatics on both sides, lol.
shareBut overwhelmingly on the left.
shareI don't know, I think it's pretty even. I think it's weird how people follow and worship politicians. Like they care about any of us, the common man. All they care about is money and power. No matter which side.
share...ain't that the truth?
shareagreed
share💯
shareWith that statement and how the current administration is playing things out, one could say it is NOT even. Two teams, same coin, one more slightly scratched.
shareYUP! You got it. Olioz
shareIt's funny when you reverse psychology them that they REEEEEE! Lol. It's their formula for hating anything not White, especially when a movie doesn't do all that well.
shareBudget is $10M. The whole thing was done in 22 days. A $12M opening is very good
shareI really wonder how many of these anti woke people wouldn't be happy making 2 million in less than a month with more to come later.
Are they all so rich that anything below a billion isn't worth moving a finger for?
Differing numbers... Google gave $26.5m then downgrade to $26m.

Budget $25 million[2]
Box office $18.1 million[3]
I would say it will make its money back relatively quick - perhaps not in movie theaters, but certainly in VOD.
Given the low budget, I suspect Wahlberg opted for a percentage of the revenue cut - won't get rich from that.
Mel's production studio was used, so as far money is concerned, Mel will gain a bit of money from all this.
The downside is - if peeps really do end up walking away from this with a negative reaction, that will cut into the next Mel's project (passion of christ 2?), which he's also directing - and he won't be able to get as much of a budget for making that film, which he says will be very expensive to film - so he kinda shot himself in a foot with this one in that regard.
Still - not as big of a clusterf@@k as what Kevin Costner got himself into.
Most movies that did poorly in theaters do make it back, eventually. I don't think the budget takes account to marketing, no? Commercials and promotions.
Agreed on everything you said after. I saw the first Costner film and it was all right. I do like Westerns in general and was hoping to see Part 2 but it seems it has been on hiatus for indefinite amount of time. He was stupid enough to not trial/error first and decide to do 4 parts back-to-back.
Why you say it is woke? Because a female deputy?
