A 24-year-old playing a 13-year-old
had a hard time suspending my disbelief in episode 2 when anya taylor-joy's character was supposed to be 13 years old... all in all good show though.

She was supposed to be 15, the headmistress told her to say 13 because it increased her chances of being adopted.
So what year was she born in ? I've been having a hard time following what year it is and how old she's supposed to be. They said it was 1966 I think when she went to Las Vegas in episode three so how old was she then ?
In the book she is adopted at age 13. In the book and TV series she gets her first period during her first match, more likely for that to happen at age 13 than 15.
