Are black people embarrassed by this movie?
If I was black, I would be embarrassed by how this movie perpetuates the negative stereotypes of black people.

I guess nobody should ever make a comedy anymore. Especially black people. So embarrassing! jesus chirst people learn to laugh! stop getting so offended over comedies! or any movie at that matter. It's made for Entertainment!
sharewere you embarrassed by Winter's Bone? Gummo? The KKK? Neo Nazis? Slavery? Lynchings? the Apartheid? there's more... but do i need to list it?
fact is stereotypes do exist and don't apply to everyone, so TRY looking PAST it. the Ghettos exist and what is the point of ignoring it? trust me i hate thugs and the whole gangsta look, but i like a lighthearted movie once in a while as well.

This is a stupid post. Why would I be embarrassed?? I have seen plenty of movies that have shown whites behaving badly. I have seen them as drug addicts, whores, and etc. Did it make all the white people ashamed? Of course not. Why is it when a "black film" comes out it's a representation of our entire ( or most) of our race. But when a "white movie" comes out it's just a movie. It doesn't symbolize anything. 70% of people who live the ghetto are white. Around 75% of all people on welfare are white. So blacks in no way have the poor or the ghetto market cornered.
I thought the movie was decent. Maybe a 5 out of 10. Wasn't great, but it wasn't 1/2 as bad as the movie Domino or the Day the Earth Stood Still. Cracks me up. People were complaining about Jumping the Broom because the blacks in the movie were uppity, had money & power. Now they are critisizing this movie because the blacks are poor & ghetto. What you are really saying is you just don't want to see any film that is predominately black. You are happy to let blacks be the minority is movies.... the 1st guy killed lol. But you can't enjoy a movie with an all black cast no matter what light they are portrayed in.

So i guess you are embarrassed by Will Ferrell, John Reilly, Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams, etc.
I watch a movie for entertainment purposes only. Not to complain and wonder what other people would think of me and my race if they saw this movie.
Not really. Black folk can learn to laugh at themselves.
Im the Alpha and the Omoxus. The Omoxus and the Omega
