Totally serviceable premise. Reminds me of The Day of the Triffids. The direction, dialogue, and acting turn it into a farce. There's a good movie buried somewhere in here.

yes, true. I even got to the point of accepting it as a decent movie. every movie has issues, but this was an interesting ride, premise-wise, and no one gives it credit for that.
