Why all the hate for this film?

I have just watched it for the first time and i have to say that i found it amazing.Having read some of the threads on here the level of hate is truly shocking. This is one the cleverist films i have seen in ages.I feel i have to stick up for this film as from what i've read there are alot of stupid people out there who clearly did not understand the ending or even the premise of the film,i am not going into details as i could be here all night but i would like to say this is a excellently directed and acted film which is truly thought provoking and in my opinion should be highly praised instaed of widely criticised.Source code is a brilliant film and i would definitely recommend it to anyone one who likes clever sci-fi films that make you think and use your brain.

I expected much more from Duncan Jones after "Moon".
This film was dissapointing in comparison. Though I suppose that could be chalked up to it being a much larger film with many more producers.
To be fair, nothing is wrong with the movie, it is just not as good as Moon.

what "all hate". everybody loves this movie.

Haters simply don't understand the film. They're probably from the bible belt where fact and evidence are way over their heads.

it's definitely underrated as i just finished re-watching it again (on Aug 6th 2015. my previous re-watch was Feb 24th 2013) and i actually slightly improved the rating for the movie as it was a 8-8.5/10 and i decided to change it to a 8.5-9/10 which makes it only one of 52 movies that managed to get a 9/10 or 10/10 from me out of the 1,850+ total movies i have seen.

in fact, here is the only movies in the current decade that managed to get a SOLID 8/10 or higher (excludes movies i gave a 7.5-8/10 to) from me...

1.Edge of Darkness (2010) - 9/10
2.Source Code (2011) - 8.5-9/10
3.Skyfall (2012) - 8-8.5/10
4.True Grit (2010) - 8/10
-.The American (2010)
-.The Town (2010)
-.The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
-.The Descendants (2011)

p.s. there is a good chance Spectre (2015) will make the above list though.

You know you have a major OCD right?

Clever?! LOL
I must have watched a different movie.
What is so clever about it in your opinion?

reply

It was a critical and commercial success, so I really wouldn't be too concerned about the so called "hate" for this film. There's apparently some talk of a sequel.🐭
