A better ending

After Bran is made King, he pardons Jon, and steps aside knowing Jons true heritage, and knowing Jons true motivation for killing Dany.

Jon becomes King, Tyrion becomes the Hand. Bran becomes Warden of the North, Arya goes to visit Gendrys castle. Bronn takes an arrow through the heart, with Tyrion whispering " The Lannisters always pay their debts"

reply

...and Sansa falls down some stairs?

reply

I like it.

reply

Totally unbelievable...

Bran can not “step” aside.
;)

reply

It's a metaphor, idiot.

reply

It’s sarcasm, dumb ass.

reply

my topic on my idea for the ending is a little different from this!

reply

Arya should have killed Dany. Wearing the face of Greyworm.

Jon should be made king, but he decides to step down and give it Bran. Knowing he has crazy Targaryan blood in him and no desire to rule, he chooses to live amongst the Wildings.

reply

Someone else here posted a great idea: S8 happens and Jon is named king, but the people rise up crying "NO MORE TARGARYANS, NO MORE BURNING". So Jon goes back to the North and the Wall, because he sees the sense of that argument.

I like that idea better than the ones that were actually used.

reply

The people rise up? since when did that ever happen?

A better ending sequel:

*Jon drinks himself to an early death because he never wanted to be king.
*The North falls into disrepair because Bran cannot run it effectively since he's in a trance 95% of the time. He can't have heirs so the Northern lords fight over who will inherit Stark wealth and property which starts a local civil war. Sansa dies during the battle.
*Arya finds Gendry in bed with Lord groupies and wishes him well as she leaves to discover new lands.
*Bronn continues his whoring and drinking heavily dying an early death, but with a smile on his face.
*Tyrion is the hand of the new king Jon until his early death.

*Queen Dany is resurrected in Asshai by a new Red Witch and returns to kill any above survivors before taking her rightful place as The Mad Queen of Westeros.

I’d agree to this ending – but ONLY if Hot Pie gets to be the Mad Queen’s Hand. That’s her thanks for a dragon-shaped bread he baked for her.

reply

Dany's Hand Hot Pie prepares delicious food for the council everyday which makes Dany too obese to ride Drogon without sliding off. The people overthrow Dany and name Hot Pie as the new King. He opens a Hot Pie fast food franchise throughout Westeros and they all live happily ever after.

reply

Great!
Can’t wait so see the reboot!

reply

I don't want a *better* resolution. I certainly don't need a bunch of happy ends.
A good ending of the Game of Thrones for me would be a longer season which preserved the quality of writing, logic of characters' development and a believable end of (at least) most story arcs.

reply

Same here. I hope you're into reading the books because that's where you'll find what you want when GRRM finishes writing the last two books.

reply

After Bran is made king he wargs over to 2012, 2013, and 2014 to steal the infinity stones to snap D&D out of existence before they write Season 8.
