All Jon had to do was sleep with Danny and comfort her as opposed to hesitating and further alienating her. It was so simple but Jon seems incapable of making the right decisions at the most crucial times. Had he done that Danny wouldn't have gone mad.
Sansa should have stepped forward to explain to Jon that he needed to get with Dany even if she is his aunt, because otherwise politics would have driven them apart, and it'll end as all intra-Targaryan convlicts always did, in civil wars that get innocent people killed. And that if he married her, then there could be no conflict between them, so he'd better get busy and nail the woman he loves and ask her to marry him!
You can't expect Jon to think of these things on his own!
I feel the same. TBH, it's frustrating for us guys to see Emilia Clarke saying that she is lonely and she needs to be loved, next to an idiot not doing anything about that.
No doubt Jon should have comforted her, by saying she is not loved in Westeros because she is not KNOWN, and she has never ruled there in the first place; but also that a lot of people still love her in the east for everything she has done. Honestly, the Jon Snow character in this season is as stupid as it can get.
The scene kinda reminded me of the ending of "The Fifth Element", but with a bad choice of words (or should I say choice of "no words"?). She just wanted some love, so give her some love dumb*ss!
Of course, a marriage proposition would have ended all the nonsense about the "claim" to the iron throne. They are (were) in love, so it was uber simple.
