Bran and the birds

Does anyone know what Bran was doing when he warged into the birds and flew up by the Night King riding the dragon? I assume it’s something important or why else would he have done that during the battle. He could have warged into other animals to help fight against the zombies, or at least done something to help the war effort. But I think there must have been a good reason for him to warge into the ravens, hopefully that will be explained at some point in the next episodes.

He did it after Theon told him the trench was lit. The birds were to get the night king to come to the front and hit the Godswood.

Why would he need to do that? The Night King *always* knew where Bran was since he was marked, not just when he was warging. Maybe they will explain what Bran was doing in the next episode. Otherwise, it will be just one of those unresolved loose ends.

Bran was getting bored ...sometimes you just gotta spread your wings and fly.

Seems like the most logical explanation
