Idiot Cinematographer Fabian Wagner tells Fans to... "...adjust your lifestyles"

The cinematographer is a pompous prick. The first (unwritten) rule of cinema is that you make sure your audience can clearly see the action on the screen, and clearly hear the dialogue being said. Yeah, there are times in a story for certain shots or scenes to be obfuscated to make a specific point...but you don't shoot the majority of a long battle and make it as dark as night so the audience can't even tell what is going on. Even a first time novice DP would know to establish how dark the "dark" is during a night sequence, all you need to do is include a few specific shots at the beginning to prime the audience that is what the characters are dealing with...then you light it so that audience can see what's going on. In this case, after the Dothraki's lights were snuffed out, that had been plenty of set-up that the battlefield was BLACK...they didn't need to belabor the point by LITERALLY keeping the audience in the dark, too.

I thought it was just me... I always watch Thrones on my laptop and its always clear as day. For this episode I was turning my lights on and off, it was like a disco in my room. Yeah, I started glazing over after awhile. Shame, since this was what all the seasons were building up to.
Also, Jon was basically useless in this episode too. WTH was that all about?
Plus, why did they send the dragons out AFTER the Dothroki were all wiped out. Perhaps at least one dragon couldve been their backup? SIGH
