Anyone out there who still misses the hell out of this show?

I was surfing the internets when I found this list: http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2012/11/top-10-cancelled-tv-shows-videos of the top 10 cancelled TV shows and I saw Pushing Daisies was number 2!!
This was such a lovely show, such a comical cast, vibrant colors and wardrobes, definitely one of my favorites of all time.
Never should have been cancelled!

I miss it so much! And I can't stand that we never really found out how it ended... Hope the promised comic will come out (or did it and I missed it?) but I would love to see it come back!

reply

I didn't see this show when it came out. I only discovered it last year and I watched the whole first series in a couple of days. It is the sweetest show! This is one of the few shows our there that is clever but not dark. We need more TV like this!

reply

I miss it so much it hurts!
Still my favourite ever show. <3<3
I wish it would be brought back to television.
But thankfully Lee Pace *drool* is starring in a new show which I'll be watching for sure :)

The facts were these...

I miss it!!!!! One of the best TV shows ever. It makes me laugh every time I watch it.

This is my all time favorite show I couldn't wait week by week for the next episode the whimsicle nature of it was fun.

I just watched (for the 1st time) both seasons on DVD. That there is no season 3 seems proof that we exist in an unjust universe!

reply

Agreed!

I would've loved to have a season 3 & 4, just something for closure ya know?

We do not stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.- Shaw

reply

YES!!!! Watching it again right now.

I constantly compare every new show to Pushing Daisies and Keen Eddie. I'm always disappointed! I'm not a fan of "reality" TV. C'est la guerre.

reply

As much as i love PD, the fact the series was birthed by being ripped from Dead like me's(what would have been 3rd season), i really really wanted to see Ned against the Reapers, it would have been AWESOME :)

I just finished it after watching seasons one and two for the first time over the past week, and I can't believe I avoided it for so long. I thought I'd hate it because I hate things that are overly hippy-dippy/bright/optimistic/whatever, but I was hooked from the very first episode. My experience was dulled a bit while I was watching the second season because I knew that it had been cancelled and there wouldn't be more episodes, but it was still excellent. Definitely one of the best shows post-2000. I even prefer it to some HBO shows like Six Feet Under. I can't believe it aired on prime time, that in itself is amazing.

Now I'm just looking forward to seeing Lee Pace again in Halt and Catch Fire and for Hannibal to return.

I'm still watching season 1 and I am already missing the show. I have no idea why I didn't watch the first time around but I blame it on being in love at the time.

Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

reply

I blame a lot of things on being in love haha.

You can never love people as much as you can miss them.

πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ Well, now that that is over I did the next best thing: I got my hubby hooked on the show! Happiness all around!

This show was the best! Not only brilliantly written, acted, directed, etc. but gorgeous to look at and funny as hell. I have both seasons on DVD and it made me want to eat/bake pies again for sure! Does anyone know which actor played the guy at the morgue who was so deliciously deadpan Great casting, virtual who's who of Hollywood, Broadway in variety of big and small roles. Lee Pace has the BEST EYEBROWS on the planet! Thanks for letting me share my series addition - my second favorite show after Samantha Who! 😘
