These people always order take-out food with plastic containers and forks.

These people are scientists and should know the impact of non-reusable plastic on pollution, but they sit around fiddling with their plastic forks. At least make some effort at making responsible choices when it comes to the environment.
Doesn't have to be a dramatic, Woke moment but just, like with smoking cigarettes, manage it in a way that models good stewardship.

You should write the producers of the show and I'm sure they will bring back the whole cast and re-shoot those scenes to have all that plastic removed.

Silly, they can now do that in post using CGI. Well worth the cost and effort to make snepts feel better.

Isn't the whole point of Wokeness to make rules that only apply to other people?

I think this show got in just ahead of the major Woke nonsense. If they made it now they would all be vegetarians eating straight from the dirt.

The only thing I don't get is using plastic utensils at HOME! Unless they really hate to wash dishes, why don't they use their own silverware?

I get takeout a fraction of the time that they do. But I never use those plastic forks that come with it. I use my own utensils. And if I order Chinese take-out, I put it on an actual plate when I get home. Who wants to eat out of a paper box?

I'm in Australia, we don't have many Chinese places that do the meal in the box. I would eat out of the box though as I have always liked the idea of it due to movies and TV, a novelty for me I guess.

I would definitely use stainless steel utensils though not the flimsy plastic stuff. I do find it odd how all they eat is take away and a lot of the time it isn't even hard to do take away, like salads for example, how hard is it to make a salad?!

I certainly wouldn't be adverse to eating out of the box under certain circumstances (camping, road trip, stadium), but my wife and I also plate take out on our own dinnerware. Now that I think about it, our Chinese take out place doesn't include any forks/sporks in the bag..
