So when it all wraps up, which actor(s) have the best chances and worst of finding work elsewhere?

I am thinking Jim Parsons will find it the hardest, Sheldon is one of those quirky type of characters and he will probably be associated with it for a long time.

Kaley Cuoco will probably have the easiest time to move on.

Cuoco is aging and was not that great to begin with. She is done. The male cast members will have an easier time as they age.

I have to say that of the original cast, the ones with the most overall and diverse talent are Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.

I see Simon as adding the most TV episodes to his resume over the next ten years.

waka waka

Parsons is perfect for a Pee-wee's Playhouse reboot.
Nobody would recognize Simon Helberg, he has normal hair.

reply

Kaley Cuoco already has work lined up for when the show ends.

I don't think any of them are going to go on to be big stars the way Chris Pratt did after Parks and Rec. Jim Parsons will probably have the most success as he has a bit of range that extends beyond awkward nerd (e.g. the Normal Heart). They've tried Kaley on the Big Screen (Wedding Ringer, Why Him), but she didn't stand out, and even won a razzie for one of those roles. Anyway, that didn't work out, and if she, or any of the other actors (Balik, Rauch, Helberg, Nayyar, Galecki) wants to press on in the business, I think it is going to be on the B/C level with small roles here and there. Given their voices are pretty distinctive and recognizable, one or two of them may find niche work as voice actors.

They're all wealthy - who cares? Probably not even them.

I can't say JP will find great work in the future, but he seems to have a likability that is unique. As long as he doesn't pick a lot of nags to appear in, he will probably keep coasting on his appeal.
