Women and Rape?

Ive read alot of posts that keep saying how all man kind is evil and would rape a women if the situation arose. What ive been pondering is in the movie,Was it a women and was it rape!. Can anyone call a zombie a person let alone a women and rape? it would be better to say necrophilia. I dont know i just think people are using words that dont really apply to this Movie.

To all the people so far in this post, well, not all, but most.
You are the reason I believe in abortion, sometimes people make mistakes in their decision though, be happy. You are the lucky ones.

Firstly, the kids that found this woman were both evil in my mind in the way they reacted to the deadgirl.

They raped the deadgirl in the same way as if they'd found a retarded woman, a child or an animal - unable to resist them. The girl was a 'zombie', but this was organised and considered 'rape'.

I found all the characters in this film dispicable and revolting from the start.

Maybe that was intentional...

Anyways by her standard women have no right to talk about the motivations for rape then;)

Funny to have that logic turned back on ya.

But then again that is why they tend to make up ridiculous reasons for rape, such as the whole rape is about power spiel. http://www.drtraycehansen.com/Pages/writings_politics.html
If rape is about power, then robbing a bank isn't about greed.

Anyways while not explicitly stated, I doubt any of the characters thought that was a real girl, zombie or some such thing might be what they thought it was, but that is the problem when a movies characters don't react to the extraordinary with quite the sense of awe they should. If raping a zombie is rape, then killing a cow for meat is murder.

Women can rape too. So I guess that was just a massive fail on your part.

How does JT find out she's a "deadgirl"? He explains it himself. When he first tried to sexually abuse this seemingly helpless girl, she started thrashing and trying to bite him. So he hit her, over and over again, and finally broke her neck.

Did anyone not get that? Again, for the cheap seats in the back: he had no idea what she was before trying to *beep* her and KILLS HER when she fights back.

Umm... yeah, that's rape... not to mention murder!

Him finding out afterward that she was a "deadgirl" was like a godsend to him, because it effectively rendered her unhuman, thus absolving him from having to feel remorse (which he seemed incapable of anyway) and giving him the freedom to violate this living corpse as he pleased.

Necrophilia gives someone the ability to have total control over another. The deadgirl is helpless; she can't protect herself or object.

The legal definition of a dead person means that having sexual relations with a corpse is not rape. State law determines if it is some sort of a crime. In California it is not illegal. In Wisconsin, the law was reversed to declare it is a crime to have sexual intercourse with a person's remains.

There may be a law in some states making it illegal to mutilate or disturb a corpse. A dead person doesn't have the same rights as a living one.

Depending on the state laws in wherever these kids live, the rapes may not be crimes; but the beatings and shooting are and could be prosecuted. That is IF anyone could find the body to prove it.

I find it disturbing that anyone could find the corpse of a pretty girl who obviously has been tortured and almost immediately see that as an opportunity to touch a woman's bare breast. I wish I could believe this can only happen in a movie; but I know it happens in mortuaries when the corpse is a young and attractive woman.

It happens more often than you think. I recently read a story about a guy who had raped a comatosed woman he had found somewhere and his defence was: "I thought she was dead".

those certain states are retarded

necrophilia is rape. If i wanted you to have sex with my dead body i'll tell you before i die, "hey i give you permission to have sex with my dead body". But if i die without giving you permission then YES it is rape. I never agreed so yes it is rape. You say "well the corpse can't talk", well then if a mute can't say no then having sex is okay to you huh? Sorry but you don't have the freedom to go around having sex with any BODY without permission. It's understood, i.e. I don't have to go out of my way to tell all 100,000,000 billion people living on Earth, "hey you don't have my permission to rape my corpse when i'm dead" before I die so no one will touch my corspe. It's understood by everyone.

reply

EXACTLY!

Whether or not she was human or an alien or some occult creature, BOTH of the guys that found her were scumbags. JT clearly had the mind of a rapist and the other guy (forget his name) was just an immoral coward, leaving a seemingly helpless girl to his psycho friend's mercy.

reply

I seriously don't see why this is even up for debate.

What she ends up being AFTER THE FACT doesn't change his initial intentions which were to take advantage of a girl he didn't think would be able to defend herself. He says as much himself.

The people reasoning that it's not rape because we discover afterwards that she is undead are using the very same logic JT applies once he discovers her true nature.

I couldn't agree more, hellfire.
He had decided to keep her tied up and rape her long before he realized she was a supernatural monster. In fact he DISCOVERED the fact that she was supernatural by trying to MURDER her when she tried to fight him off. He was already a rapist AND a murderer at heart. How anyone could defend him blows my mind.

reply

LoL, murder. Whether if it was rape or not is a gray area but it definitely was not murder.

Did she say "NO?" I don't think so.

Did he try and help a seemingly helpless girl who had the look of someone who had been abused? No.

Did he not then force himself on her? Yes.

Did he stop when she tried to fight him off? No.

Did he not kill her, only to discover she couldn't be killed? Yes.

What's worse is that all this information is given by the perp HIMSELF, without flourish, without a hint of feeling (it's actually very scary how he feels NOTHING for the monstrosity of his acts), yet here are a lot of you, rationalizing this. To that I say: you are all seriously twisted!

I blame lack of communication on her part, i mean sure she tried to fight him off but he might be a retard lacking in reading human emotions? Don't be so judgmental guy!

Lol!

You're very right, I am being far too judgmental. Who knows in what mental state that poor rapist was. :p
