Nope, Emma is my favorite. After that S&S, then P&P. NA and MP are about equal.

Have you ever read Persuasion? Do!

Rough order of my preference for the books:

1. Persuasion
2. Pride and Prejudice
3. Emma
4. Northanger Abbey
5. Mansfield Park
6. Sense and Sensibility

Sense and Sensibility has always been a real downer for me, as has Mansfield Park. I do enjoy them though, just not as much as the others.

Emma and Sense and Sensibility. But Northanger Abbey is a very close third. Never cared much for Mansfield Park.

This is of course after Pride and Prejudice, one of my favorite all time books!

Emma's my favourite. I just love her brevity and heart. Also got a crush on Mr Knightly - which may have a small part to play in it...

After that is P&P mostly because of Elizabeth Bennet (my fav. Austen woman) , then at a close third is Sense and Sensibility then Persuasion, then Mansfield Park. Haven't read Northanger Abbey.

Also, with the Bronte discussion - have to say I couldn't stand "Wurthering Heights". Everything was just so depressive and droning. People might argue that it's more realistic but even in real life there's some light moments - there's also people that you can relate to, unlike in this novel. Had to force myself to get through it, thinking that the next chapter will reveal why it's so revered.

On the other hand, I really like "Jane Eyre". Sometimes I can get annoyed at Jane, but still I end up falling again when she has her small moments with Mr Rochester.

My order of preference:

1. Pride and Prejudice (of course)
2. Mansfield Park
3. Persuasion
4. Sense and Sensibility
5. Northanger Abbey
6. Emma (Mr. Knightly is dreamy, but Emma is a terrible heroine)

My favorite is 'Sense and Sensibility'. I really like the Elinor's character and love the relationship between her and Marianne. Northanger Abbey actually rates fairly highly on my list. I'd give it a third place tie with P&P largely because I loved Henry's character so much. He is definitely my favorite of Austen's male leads.

My list in order:

Sense and Sensibility
Persuasion
Pride and Prejudice/Northanger Abbey
Emma
Mansfield Park

My personal ranking of her novels would be as follows:

1. Sense and Sensibility - I love the humour, the sisterly relationship. The concept of this all consuming love that a younger girl may feel is the necessity of a "true romance" but after maturing and knowing more she finds something more special in a stable love of trust. I also like that it is from the view of both Dashwood sisters.
2. Pride and Prejudice
3. Emma
4. Persuasion
5. Mansfield Park
6. Northanger Abbey

Pride & Prejudice is my favourite. My runner-up would be Northanger Abbey and Emma. Though I do like the character of Emma more than Catherine. NA was enjoyable because of the humor and the atmosphere. I too would like to go to a strange place. But Emma was more relatable to me because she has potential to be a great person (even though she's easily likable).

My favourite is mansfield park with persuasion being my second and pride and prejudice coming in third. For me Mansfield park was always the most captivating, I would like to know what would have happened had she chosen Henry Crawford, I'm not saying she should have I've always just wondered if she could have bettered him lol. And persuasion as Anne and Frederick were just so in love it was great to see them overcome the people in there way to be together.
