Well, after Pride & Prejudice, I would have to say Persuasion is my favorite. I like this book because it shows you the strength of true love and what it can withstand. Going up against odds of being persuaded not to marry the man you love, and pride of being refused by the woman you love, it shows that where true love is, time doesn't change love's strength. After Persuasian, I enjoy the most Sense & Sensibility. The fact that they are forced into a terrible situation and try to make the most of it, really endears me to this novel. I find true heroism in Elinor. She has to hide her feelings and love for propriety sake and she really feels more like the mom in that family. She takes on the responsibility for everyone's happiness and tries so hard to keep her own feelings in-check. I think I would love to have a sister like Elinore and sometimes, I feel I am Elinor. :)
My handy dandy list:
Pride & Prejudice
Persuasion
Sense & Sensibility
Emma
Mansfield Park
Northanger Abbey
