Was the naked lesbian scene needed?

Why does everyone think that in order to make a good horror movie, there must be nudity? I'm a guy and still found that scene tasteless and not needed. Nudity does not make a crappy movie good by any means.

reply

I agree. Sometimes nudity is actually needed when considering the context. I wouldn’t watch this one with such high expectations but if someone wants to see nudity the need to go to a different genre to see it.

reply

dude, thanks for giving me a reason to watch this movie

reply

when is there NOT a need for a naked lesbian scene?

reply

I quite enjoyed the lesbian scene. Anyways, I thought the movie was
pretty good for a DTV movie. There are worst things to watch, like reality Tv.

reply

Well I agree with what the OP said, they can screw themselves if they think it made the movie any better. If you want to see sex, you rent a porno, if you want to see horror, and this is listed as a HORROR movie, then you rent a HORROR movie. Whoever came up with the idea that sex made a horror movie better was sure off their rocker.

B horror movies have had tit scenes+ for over 20 years now, you should all be used to it now. Besides, you should never look a gift-tit in the mouth.

reply

And? Just cuz it ain't new don't mean it's any good, why do you think the Psycho remake was so God-awful? A cat can have kittens in the oven but that don't make them biscuits.

reply

If you're looking for intellectual depth and a submersive plot then you really shouldn't be watching B horror movies anyway.

reply

Exactly ;-)

Huh? All the best B horror movies have a submersive plot that keeps the viewer involved. Night of the Living Dead, REC, Dawn of the Dead, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Saw etc.

reply

completely stupid an unnecessary. The entire film was too for that matter.

reply

I'll second that motion. Like I said, if they were going to do a sequel to anything it should've been the original. Or how abouat a prequel? You know in the original Watson said when they found him in the morning of the FIRST night he spent in the house, he was almost dead. I always wondered what happened to him that night, the night that his sister in law cut up his brother and her sister, the night that a young girl was killed and that left the blood puddles in the ceiling.

reply

i think they tried to copy the "the shining" scene when there is a gorgeous woman and starts making out with jack, and then he looks and shes a gross old ugly lady. i think horror movies add nudity because it makes ppl look so vulnorable and makes it seem as if its so innocent, and it just your bare skin.

reply

3 lesbos getting it on in the middle of some millennium old cult site? Innocent it ain't, and it don't do. These are called HORROR movies for a reason...you want to catch someone during a REALLY vulernable time that's believable, try a woman giving birth.

HA HA. The scene was hot, though. Damn! Crazy movie, the creepy thing is that the 1999 one had the same ghosts, thanks, OP, who said that, I just remember that.

I haven't seen this yet but when is a naked lesbian scene NOT needed?

reply

Never unless you're gay.

i already said that.

Probably wasn't needed, but I didn't understand why the character just automatically let her guard down for these women..

I couldn't figure that out either and I only saw the trailer...somehow I knew that those other two women didn't go with her to the party.

reply

first off, dude its a horror movie...its going to have gratuitous nudity, the majority of horror viewers, at least for THIS kind of horror, are teen males, like myself...

and also, dude, your a guy, if your a straight guy, why would you complain about a lesbian scene? i mean...?

Yeah it's a horror movie, you know what that means? People die, people get hurt or threatend, their lives are in danger, NOWHERE was it ever written that horror movies require sex scenes, pornos, yes, horror movies, NO. That is just the directors' way of coping out to compensate rather than admit defeat with incompetenet writing.

Second of all, if you think I'm a guy then you've got problems.

reply

i would just like to say that unless the director wrote the film also, its not his fault if it has crummy writting...so, he sort of HAS to compensate...to make the movie watchable...would you rather he DIDNT compensate and make it a completly unwatchable movie?

Why not? If a man's honest, we'll more lenient on him...but it doesn't matter much since where I'm concerned, it is STILL unwatchable EVEN with the sex thrown in there.

reply

it didnt end on a nice sweet lesbian note.
