Where would you go in an actual Zombie apocalypse?
I feel like everyone would rush to the same places and you'd just wind up cattle. You have to think outside the box.

Yeah. The most hilarious thing when its obviously suburb outside of city like in Last Of Us opening. And I’m like: "Where the hell are you running, Joel. You are already out of town in small suburb. Are you gonna run to another suburb like yours? Just sit there in your basement and you will have more chances to survive then in the initial chaos out there".
But no - idiot ran into freaking small city nearby and got his daughter killed in chaos. People really should hold him accountable. In those times its better to hide in basement. Because still less people in suburb street then in city. Eventually all those new zombies will just run away down the road. While in city they will stay in one place because there is nowhere to run.
But no one can survive when zombies are fast like here. You cant outrun them and there are too many. Only if you are on a ship or island. And you should never take new people in. It was reckless from army to bring Brad Pitt and wife to that giant ship. If one person would sneak infected - whole ship will be gone in seconds.
Brad Pitt and family only survived because helicopter was sent. Otherwise all would be dead quickly. But yeah if you are in big city - rung for your life outside of it. Because if you dont - next morning streets will be filled with zombies and you will never go past few streets. You will be overrun. All you could to is to scavenge food from other flats and stores for few weeks/months.
I saw two movies about people who were stranded inside their appartments. One Korean and other German I think. Its it very hard, impossible to get out of city once chaos settles done. Zombies are everywhere.
Staying home. It's rural, we have preserved food, our own well, plenty of gardens, an edible landscape, septic, and power is solar.
Plus, the bug out crowd will draw the zombies. No need to join that panic buffet.
Stay where I am. There are only two bridges into town, which can be blown. As a fishing community, the sea is bountiful and there is a long growing season.
If I lived somewhere else, I'd try for the Appalachian Mountains with one backpack and one rifle.
