The best Sci-fi movie ever?

This has to be the best sci-fi ever.

I only give it points because they consulted an actual astrophysicist for this film, and the robots were interesting. Otherwise, I've honestly seen better stories than this one.

The claim of this reminds me a lot of people claiming that Andor is amazing Star Wars for grown ups...

reply

Not even close.

It’s a pretentious, easily forgettable, muddled yawn fest.

Why do you think it’s the best?

reply

Its the best because its based on real science.

reply

Glad you enjoy it.

reply

I like this movie but it is not the best one.

which one is your favorite and/or best?

Speaking about Sci-fi movies, my favourites are:
The Empire strikes back
Planet of the Apes (1968)
Back to the future
ET.

reply

Uh...No!

It's the Datsun of modern Cinema.

It was terrible, boring movie.

The cereal box robot with McConaughey and the dialogue back and forth...

reply

I find it weird that after 10 years that no one understands this movie.
